  Best barbecue I've had in quite a while. Great pulled pork and collards to die for. Baked beans were sweet and smoky with nice spice, but not too sugary! Whole lunch was about $11 and would be a good value at twice the price!

  This barbecue was fantastic. I haven't had barbecue as good since I went to Tennessee over a year ago, and it definitely shows that Al and his family are from there. My favorite part was the sauces he had were both very good, and didn't come on the meat. I like vinegar based sauces and I hate when meat comes soaked in sugary sauce, you won't find that here. You can order everything by the pound and half pound and it all comes without sauce.
  
  We had practically all of the meats: the ribs were large and perfectly smoked, the pulled pork was delicious and wasn't too dry, the sausage was savory and hard to stop eating, and not one thing disappointed.
  
  The sides too we're great: the baked beans were tangy and sweet with the taste of brown sugar, the black eyed peas were tasty, the collard greens were spicy and salty as they should be. The only mild disappointment was the potato salad, it wasn't bad but it tasted like Sam's Club which is a shame because I bet Al would make a great homemade version.
  
  The cornbread and deserts were tasty. Be warned the cornbread is kind of crumbly, yet paradoxically it isn't too dry. The sweet potato pie was great, and the cake delightfully coconuty.
  
  Overall it's a fine restaurant, with great food and quick and friendly service. I know we'll stop in next time we're in the area, as barbecue that good is hard to find.
