    I’ve been living at uncommon since February of this year. When I first signed my lease the employee who showed me around and gave me the tour showed me all of the floorplans ( which they have 5 different 4x4 to choose from) Gave me all the pricing and everything else I will need to know I fell in love with the place and I immediately signed my lease. Literally 15 minutes later she goes to check what apartments are actually available for me to MoveOn and she only has three apartments and they’re all in the same exact plan. I was very unhappy and I wanted out of my lease which they were not able to do. They Then put me in a 3 x 3 to accommodate their mishap. Ever since then they’ve change the managers at least twice and the new company now does not offer the same benefits as before. After hurricane Irma they still have yet to fix the elevator which is ridiculous. I know many of student apartment complexes that have elevators and there’s are working just fine. Their excuse is that the company still has not come to fix it but I don’t feel like they are in such a rush to fix the elevator because they are not the ones that are using it. The garage is constructed so terribly I almost lose my life every time I come home. I’ve been trying to get someone to sublease my apartment because I no longer can afford to live here and what do they do they take away your sublease option. So now I am stuck in this apartment that I do not want to be in anymore and that I’ve been trying to get someone to live in now until next July. Recently I had a mishap with my employer shorting me a couple hundred on payday. Pay day just happened to be the third of this month as well and because of the shortage I was unable to pay my rent on time. Supporting evidence to the manager and speaking with her she was unable to help me and just advised me to pay the fees as soon as possible even though the fees are still adding on. Even asking if my manager was able to pay the late fees instead of just placing it on next months rent or doing a courtesy because of my situation. I truly do love the style of the apartment and I love living in it but the management could be a lot better. They’ve taken away so many amenities it’s now not worth living here. For 700 a month you had courtesy trash pick up the elevators worked courtesy cleaning on the weekend mornings and there were way more events that were going on. Now I just feel like I’m stuck and there is no one that is willing to help or even care for that matter.

    I am seriously regretting my decision of letting my wife stay in this apartment. Even though it was for a short period of 3 months, there are a ton of things to complain. I want everyone to know what we faced and I hope this review helps rethink your consideration if you are considering this apartment. Why do you want to live in a place where all the 4+ reviews are written by the employees themselves who work here?
    First of all, if you have any maintenance issues, be prepared to face rude responses from the management and unforeseen horrible circumstances, let alone the fix. You can only talk to the front desk and can never approach the manager of the property regardless of the issues you have. You can only reach her through email even though you see her everyday sitting in her office. Absolutely no respect to the residents.
    When my wife moved in, she was allotted a room which had serious humidity problems and she complained about it within 2 days of her move-in. Some staff came to the room and said there was no problem at all. After raising serious concerns, they kept a dehumidifier in the room and though it made a lot of noise it was ok as we had a temporary solution. Though electric bill is covered in the rent, we had to pay extra for the use of this dehumidifier. So, we are paying more for the solution provided by the management for a pre-existing problem.
    2 months later, out of the blue, this manager comes to the room, wakes up my wife and asks her to vacate the room immediately saying maintenance is scheduled to repair the humidity problem and it takes 2 days to fix it. Not a single prior notice was given – no phone calls, no voicemails, not even a courtesy notification email. She was left with no option than to vacate the room during her exam time. This manager asked to use the common study area for the entire day and return to the room in the evening. In the evening, the entire room was very dirty and all the things were covered in dust. Who should clean them all up? Is this the way to treat the residents? And if you raise any of these concerns, you will not get a solution but a rude reply from this manager.
    It is a nightmare living in here. I genuinely do not recommend this place to anyone! Every 4+ review is written by the employees who work here. Funny thing is, the manager I mentioned above herself has written a 4 star review. Please think before you land at this horrible place!
