My rating isn't a reflection of the staff or the location, but rather some of the hot trash that frequent this place. There's plenty of cushy seating, lots of computers, plenty of outlets, nice modern architecture. It's almost too nice. I guess that's what draws the crowd. It's like the Ritz, but for rude degenerates.

Most of the customers (if you can call them that) are disgusting and disrespectful. You'll see people take off their sandals or flip flops and put their bare feet up on the furniture. People answer phone calls and talk as if they were in their own home. No one really says anything to them about it. And why should they care? There's no rule of law here. Most of the users are slobs.

No joke, I'm literally sitting in the library as I write this. My final straw in typing this review up was watching a man walk up to the table in front of mine, look down in disgust as he swept away the crumbs that had been left before him. All to sit down... pull out his laptop... and begin CLIPPING HIS NAILS before doing work!?! This was after I moved to the other side of the library to get away from a loud ignorant person (because why not Face time when you're in a public study facility), who I was lucky enough to catch picking his nose... YIKES.

If you're on the westside of Tampa, spare yourself. Drive the extra 5 miles or so to the Oldsmar library. It's like an ENTIRELY different world there...

Sure, there is the usual increase in crowds when school lets out, but in general I feel like it's not as busy. I think it's quieter and the people are more respectable, even if the chairs are no where near as comfortable. People are self conscious about how loud they are being, and worried if they're being disrespectful. They actually care about the fact that they are in a library, and contribute to maintaining the decorum of it.

Update: As of today, 03/01/18 an older, grey hair, glasses was chewing on his finger nails and spitting them out so that you could audibly hear him spit. In between playing with his dentures of course. Every time I think I went was too hard in this review, these people disgust me all over again and send me back here to double down. This place is like more of a vagrant housing facility/old folks home.

The guy with the green shirt in front of me (see my photo upload) seems to either have narcolepsy, or maybe he's high on drugs? He's at a computer where he literally falls asleep and snores for 5-10 minutes and then wakes up bewildered as if he's on another planted before quickly falling asleep again. I hope the people waiting to do productive things on a computer sleep as soundly at night as this man does to the CBS reruns he's not even bothering to watch.

I also hope this helps answers the other highlighted question by another user as to "Why do they have to lock the bathrooms?" Because the last person who used the bathroom will then have to at least be accountable for the condition in which it was left. And also because someone would probably try to sleep in them. No... seriously.

Really nice place to study, and a comfortable environment. My only concern is the bathrooms. Why do we need to ask for keys to open the bathrooms? It's not like anyone is going to hide a book in there because aren't there sensors surrounding the exit anyways? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding something
